Chris Cornell on Jimmy Kimmel

I just saw Chris Cornell on Jimmy Kimmel. I'm not too impressed. I will not get into how this is nothing like Soundgarden or even Audioslave. I will leave that alone because the past is the past and an artist is supposed to grow and do more than rest on past achievement. I think Chris Cornell has out grown me though. His voice was once so powerful and commanding. Now it sounds reedy and weak. There is no substance left in it. I have no idea what he was singing about or if I should even care. There was nothing in the performance to compel me to check out his new album or even revisit his older work. I just want to leave it alone for now. It is disappointing.
