Saturday is Here

Finally the last day of the work week. Now I have a three day weekend starting tomorrow. Good stuff. I have some projects to start including getting the flower beds cleaned up and ready for planting and getting my tomato pools and squash trellis prepared. I am also planning on adding a cheap PC to my home entertainment system. I am getting the PC tomorrow and have a KVM switch ordered so it can coexist with my current desktop. I would like to use this box to store all of my video and music and stream from that box to my TiVos, Archos TV, and other computers. I plan on adding my 320 Gig Hard Drive in there for the moment and maybe a 500 Gig in the future. I like the idea of having one computer dedicated to just storage and stream and the other computers for productivity, downloading, and surfing. I do not need the latest and greatest. My current desktop is a ten year old Vaio that still surfs, runs bit torrent and some TiVo Apps well enough. The laptop is what I use for My Day to Day stuff and couldn't be happier with it. I just want to ease off of using it for everything so it can get some rest occasionally.

Oh yeah, Andrew Bird is coming to town on Tuesday. I haven't seen him live. I have high hopes for a great show. I will post back with how it was.
