Lost

I watched Lost last night after work. I am still processing the events of the show. Jumping back and forth a 3 year span obviously leaves a lot of unanswered questions about what happened in between... The one big question I have though, is if it is 1977 island time and the Oceanic 6 have arrived again, what happened with the 30 or so years in between?
